6 Ways To Remove Your Makeup And Look After Your Skin


Removing your makeup after each wear is so so so so important and a step that should never be forgotten. When makeup is left on the skin overnight it begins to harvest bacteria on the face which can lead to breakouts and other skin concerns. There is a common misconception that the only way to remove makeup products is with wipes but there are so many other options that are safer and more gentle on the skin.


1. Coconut Oil

This is a very healthy and natural way of removing makeup as it does not involve any chemical products. You only need a small amount and remember to wash it all off your skin once used.


2. Makeup Removing Pads

Makeup removing pads are the eco-friendly alternative to makeup wipes as they are reusable. They can be used with a cleanser or even as simply as with a bit of water to effectively absorb the product off the skin.


3. Cream Cleanser

Cream cleansers are very gentle on the skin and provide an immense amount of hydration so they are recommended for people who have dry skin. They are used when your face is damp and should be washed off afterwards.


4. Makeup Removing Spray

This type of makeup removal is a newer method but works very well. The ingredients of the spray break down the chemicals in the makeup to help you easily remove them from your skin.


5. Micellar Water

Micellar water not only removes makeup but some are also formulated with skincare benefits. They can be used with cotton rounds to help wipe away makeup.


6. Gel Cleanser

Avoid using this product around the eyes but other than that it can be used to remove all face makeup. It is an oil-free formulation that is great for sensitive skin. Just simply lather with water and all makeup will be removed!
