Everything You Need To Know About The Storybook Cosmetics X Harry Potter Makeup Brush Collection

Muggles and wizards I have exciting news. Storybook Cosmetics has released a collection of 5 Harry Potter themed eyeshadow brushes! The set can be purchased from their website or at Ulta Beauty for $55 USD. The Harry Potter collection also contains a 12 pan spellbook eyeshadow palette.

The brushes are cruelty free and are shaped like the wands of your favourite characters.

From top to bottom: Lord Voldemort, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Dumbledore and Harry Potter

Lord Voldemort's Wand - Flat Packing Brush

This packing brush is ideal for packing down lots of eyeshadow particularly glitter shades. It is used on the lid and is crucial for creating a cut crease eyeshadow look.

Hermione Granger's Wand - Thick Liner Brush

The Hermione brush can be used to press product along the upper and lower lash lines. It can be used with powder, gel or liquid formulas.

Ron Weasley's Wand - Tapered Blending Brush

The Ron Weasley brush is used by swirling it in circular motions into the crease. It is typically used with a darker shade to deepen up the outer corner. It can also be used all over with a light brown for a natural look.

Dumbledore's Wand - Blending Brush

Dumbledore's brush is similar to Ron's in the sense as they are both used for blending. However, the bristles on this brush are denser. This means that the brush could be used for an overall crease blending but only with light colours. The bristles are so thick that if too much pigment is added it could overpower the eye look.

Harry Potter's Wand -Flat Shader Brush

The Harry Potter Brush would work well deepening the crease of an eyeshadow look or applying glitter to the inner corner. The bristles are not very flexible which is a good thing for this kind of brush. It can be a bit hard to control because the handles are heavy but is definitely useable.
